Generator Maintenance
Once your diesel generator system has been installed, tested and commissioned, it is necessary to service the system, so that the quality standard can be maintained. The generator must also be tested regularly to ensure your engine starts when you have a power glitch or an outage. If the generator fails to start, due to low battery or coolant, the purpose of having a generator is defeated. At Tristar, we use spare parts, lubricants, coolants and filters that meet engine manufacturer specifications.
The maintenance contract can be tailored to meet your requirements, with various options regarding the number of annual maintenance visits and load tests performed. All information about the installation is recorded, and a service history of the equipment is maintained in our database, so that we can inform our customers of upgrades or recommended part replacements.
During preventive maintenance, our field service technicians perform a complete check of your engine, fluids, filters, and batteries, and we replace engine oil and filters during the annual maintenance check. The preventive maintenance results are recorded, reviewed and reported to our customers for further action.
